Samsung presents a 7-inch tablet Galaxy Tab
After a series of leaks and a wave of rumors, Samsung has finally introduced the tablet Galaxy Tab (model GT-P1000). The device was first officially demonstrated at IFA in Berlin the day before it’s official opening.

Samsung Galaxy Tab equipped with a 7-inch touch TFT-screen (not SuperAMOLED) with 1024 ? 600 pixels, Hummingbird 1 GHz processor (ARM Cortex-A8), 3.5-mm audio jack, module Bluetooth 3.0, adapter Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11n), GPS, 16 or 32 GB of internal memory and a slot for flash cards format microSD.
For the tablet available branded applications Readers Hub, Social Hub, Media Hub and the Music Hub. Readers Hub program is designed for reading electronic books, and offers easy access to vast digital library; Social Hub will bring together all the popular Internet services, postal services, social networking, IM; Media Hub users will open the world of cinema, and Music Hub will provide access to an extensive collection of music files.
Tablet support Google services, the client app store SamsungApps, navigation system Google Maps Navigation, keyboard Swype, ThinkFree application for editing documents and Adobe Flash Player 10.1.
Samsung Galaxy Tab equipped with 3G-module (GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA) and can make calls over cellular networks. For voice telephony in Samsung Galaxy Tab provides a loud external speaker to talk about home or office and can connect Bluetooth-headset.
The device has two cameras: one has a resolution of 1.3 megapixels and is designed for video, the second – 3-megapixel (with flash) allows you to record HD-video format 720p (1280 ? 720 pixels). Tablet can play videos with a resolution of 1920 ? 1080 (Full HD) with support for DivX, XviD, MPEG4, H.263, H.264, and others.
The battery provides up to 20 days of standby time, up to 16 hours – in the mode of talk time and up to 7 – when playing videos. Dimensions: 190,1 ? 120,45 ? 11,98 mm, weight: 380 g.
European sales of Samsung Galaxy Tab start in mid-September. Later, the tablet will be in South Korea and elsewhere. Approximate cost of Galaxy Table – $1000.
